Achievements up to July 2024
- Upgrades (security and infrastructural) to Irish Town Primary School.
- Establishment of Teacher Education Award.
- Ensured that national committees and statutory boards include qualified, young persons under the age of 35.
- Granting economic costs to all nationals studying at the University of the West Indies in all disciplines.
- MOU between the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and Southern University in Louisiana, USA.
- Established a dedicated unit to provide regular preventive maintenance of all public education facilities.
- Bathroom and electrical upgrades for all schools.
- Re-introduced stipend to all nursing students at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
- Financial aid $250 to all primary and secondary school students to assist in back-to-school preparations.
- Reduced student loan interest rates at the Development Bank from 9% to 5%
- Tuition fee removal at Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC)
- Begin STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math) program in primary schools.
- Developed a “Graduate Refinance” Project in which all student loan holders will receive a $15,000 credit to service their loan at the Development Bank and other banks.
- Provide debt relief to relieve the burden of Student loans under a new Youth Rising Higher programme.
- Career Building Workshop for 14 secondary and tertiary school students enrolled in its Christmas Internship Program.
- 6 fully funded scholarships for civil servants of St Kitts and Nevis, through the Ministry of Sustainable Development.
- Provided a grant of EC$25,000 to every student wishing to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies in a field immediately relevant to national development.
- Installation of a new alternator on a 6MW generator.
- Introduction of the Water Services Department of 24/7 customer service water hotline and emergency crew.
- Electricity Arrears Reset – Immediate reconnection for all residential SKELEC customers.
- Water Services Reset – Immediate reconnection for residential Water Services Department customers.
- St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd (SKELEC) Amended Power Purchase (PPA) with SOLEC for the largest solar PV and battery project in the Caribbean.
- Introduction of geothermal collaboration between Saint Kitts and Nevis.
- Hosting of a National Validation Workshop geared towards the possibility of adding Electric Vehicles (EVs) to the Government’s fleet of vehicles, beginning with the introduction of Electric School Buses and Charging Stations.
- St. Kitts Electricity Company Ltd (SKELEC) Amended Power Purchase (PPA) with SOLEC for the largest solar PV and battery project in the Caribbean.
- Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) and Green Solutions International (SKN) Inc. Lauch of the Caribbean Center of Excellence in Research, Innovation and Workforce Training.
