Welcome to the Attorney‑General’s Office and the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.Under the leadership of the Honourable Senator Garth Lucien Wilkin, Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, these two integral bodies work in concert to uphold the rule of law, protect citizens’ rights, and ensure that government governance and legal frameworks are conducted with integrity, efficiency and fairness.


Together, the Offices provide legal advice to Government, manage litigation, oversee justice administration, revise legislation, and safeguard the fundamental rights of all residents. Their combined efforts are essential to building a transparent, accountable and accessible legal system in our Federation.

Attorney-General’s Office

The Attorney-General’s Office serves as the principal legal advisory body to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis. It provides expert legal counsel on constitutional, legislative and administrative matters, represents the Crown in litigation, and supports the independent functions of key justice-system institutions. Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs

The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs is tasked with the administration of justice, development and reform of the legal framework, and support of institutions that deliver justice, such as courts, registries, the Law Commission, and legal aid services. It guides policy to ensure legal processes are just, effective and aligned with national development goals.
