“Art Competition Announced for Designing New Justice and Legal Affairs Headquarters”

Garth Wilkin, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis, revealed an exciting opportunity for artists, architects, and creative individuals during his recent address at the National Assembly on September 18, 2023. Wilkin announced the launch of a public art competition to design the aesthetic of the upcoming Ministry Headquarters, set to be constructed on the Bay Road in Basseterre in 2024.

Addressing the artistic community, Wilkin shared, “I am thrilled to inform all artists, architects, and creatives that the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs is organizing a public competition. Participants will have the chance to win XCD 20,000 by showcasing their design concepts for the new Ministry Headquarters.” The competition aims to merge the historical architecture of Basseterre with modern and smart contemporary design elements.
