Institution Health Services About Us

INSTITUTIONS BASED HEALTH SERVICES

This Programme groups three hospitals, Joseph N. France General, Mary Charles and Pogson, as well as the Cardin Home, which provides long term care for the elderly. The general aim of this Programme is to achieve quality outcomes for people by enabling access to timely and appropriate secondary and tertiary health care services at reasonable cost. Efficiency and cost effectiveness are critical to this Programme in its attempts to merge with other programmes and sectors to offer an optimum level of health care aimed at impacting positively the health outcomes of individuals within the Federation.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

To provide and strengthen health facilities which possess the institutional capacity to prevent, control and treat all forms of disease and other forms of disabilities.

St. Kitts was once known as the Gibraltar of the West Indies for its domination of 18th- century colonial battles. How the island rose to become the world’s leader in sugarcane cultivation, an inspiration for the industrial revolution in the process.
